This is basicly history of metal, with subgenres and examples of bands from each genre.
Hope you understand it.
For some reasons this was moved to scraps by administrator.
Now, that's not where I want to put it.
So, if anyone has got a problem with this, I would like to know what it's about.
Also, if it's in a wrong catigory, tell me what catigory I should put it then.
Death melodic? O.o Never even heard of it. And, you can't expect me to put every single genre over there. I'm no professional or expert, I'm just very bored.
Noticed a few mistakes here and there... sorry for being a pain... I just live off Metal so I feel compelled to point out
Anyways... both WASP & Quiet Riot would fall under the Glam Metal genre. WASP had the make up going on but their music was definitely more inclined towards Metal.
Quiet Riot as well... they also have a similar sound to Twisted Sister so there ya have it.
Next up... Candlemass is straight up Doom Metal. Opeth would fall under the Progressive category although they have a heavy Death Metal influence. If you wanna put Stoner Metal you could put up Acid King & Blind Dog.
Its quite hard to classify Tool but their style is more inclined towards Prog...
Im not quite sure what you mean by Grunge here 'cos there's Grunge Metal and there's normal Grunge... Alice In Chains are nowhere in the same category as Nirvana & Pearl Jam. Very different styles from both.
Hatebreed is Hardcore... and Machine Head is not Metalcore... you could classify them under New Wave Of American Metal... although Id group them together with Pantera... because Pantera was not Thrash at all... they're Groove Metal aka Post Thrash. Machine Head's first album was very Groove so yeah...
Finally... you kinda spelled a band wrong... its Deicide with a "c" not "s"
Dont mean to rub anything in yer face man so I hope you dont take offense!!! Just pointing out stuff I thought was necessary...

Thanks for pointing these things out.
But yeah, I put them there.. where would you put them?
... they belong to "doom Metal" and opeth would fit into "progressive death metal"
I remember that next time then
